INTERIM
MANAGER PROFILE RESEARCH
During January and February
2007, we profiled 50 practicing Interim Managers.
Our
objective was to determine if there was any correlation between
their behavioural profile and a series of factors including:
-
Earnings
-
Type
of assignment
-
Industry
sector
-
Functional
role
You
should not consider the research results and conclusions we have
drawn to be the definitive answer as to whether you will make a
successful interim manager, but it should encourage some honest
self-reflection, which could provide valuable insights into whether
or not the career would suit you and the challenges you might face.
There
are two documents. The first describes the profiling tool we used
- DISC and what the dimensions mean along with self-coaching questions.
We suggest you read this first and answer the questions as the research
report will then make a great deal more sense. The second is the
research itself.
You
will also have an opportunity to do your own profile and compare
it with those of the 50 Interim Managers in the research, which
will take your self-awareness to another level.
